## Installation

### Build from source code

1. Make sure you have installed all dependencies.

_The package name may vary between different distros. If dde-file-manager is available in your distro, it is a better idea to check the packaging script provided by your distro._

Assume you are using [Deepin](https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=deepin) or another Debian-based distro that provides dde-file-manager:

``` shell
$ git clone https://github.com/linuxdeepin/dde-file-manager
$ cd dde-file-manager
$ sudo apt build-dep ./
```

2. Build:
```shell
$ cmake -B build -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr
$ cmake --build build
```

3. Install:
```shell
$ sudo cmake --build build --target install
```

The executable binary file could be found at `/usr/bin/dde-file-manager`

### Build Debian package

A debian folder is provided to build the package under the deepin linux desktop distribution. To build the package, use the following command:

```shell
$ dpkg-buildpackage -uc -us -nc -b # build binary package(s)
```
